These products allow Architects and all property owners a real alternative, for the very first time, to conventional fire doors, with the opportunity to open up and improve any internal space on many levels, including functionality, décor and most importantly of all, in life safety.

Elite Fire Containment Services are able to offer clients looking to purchase any of the ViiFire fire and/or smoke curtain range a fully bespoke sizing service, as well as a range of standard sizes from 900mm to 3000mm widths and up to 3000mm drops. All curtains are fully fire rated and tested with full British and European safety accreditations including the very latest BSI PAS 121:2007 as protecting Means of Escape, the only definitive specification for fire curtains in the world.

The ViiFire Door

Out of our range of ViiFire products our most popular is the ‘virtual, intelligent and invisible fire door system’ - the ViiFire Door. It is a neat, compact, fully automatic motorised roller system, with a state of the art high temperature woven stainless steel reinforced fire resistant fabric, tested up to 1000 degrees Celsius for up to 2 hours. The curtain is concealed in a strong steel casing above your doorway or opening where it remains totally hidden but always ready to work when you need it – in the event of a fire!

An important feature of the ViiFire Door is to enhance lift lobby areas by removing the need for fire rated doors and partitioning. This can result in giving the ability to create more radical designs in the inner space around lift lobbies and reception areas, plus release otherwise non chargeable communal floor space back in to usable space for the occupants of the building.

All this can be achieved without compromising the fire and smoke integrity of the building. ViiFire Door can be fitted neatly over the lift door surround leaving a clean line of sight.

Additional functions can include push to retract facility for anyone exiting the lift in the event the ViiFire Door has descended to it’s closed position. Voice warning and audio/light beacon are also available for the benefit of occupants and visitors of a building who may have sight or hearing impairments.

ViiFire Door Reveal

Manufactured to the same standards as the ViiFire Door, but fitting neatly within the door reveal to give an enhanced aesthetical appearance.

ViiFire Door i-Zone

Manufactured to an increased 4 hours fire containment protection plus 1 hour heat insulation, protecting your means of escape.

The ViiFire Serve

Also within the ViiFire range is, the equally innovative and manufactured to the same exacting safety standards, the ViiFire Serve. This product is specifically designed for applications in commercial kitchens, allowing the same full protection between kitchen and dining areas should it be needed is a totally new engineering concept designed specifically for small to large openings in fire compartment walls. The unit stays fully retracted and out-of-sight and operates only in the event of fire. Ideal for use in kitchen and canteen environments, the ViiFire Serve provides uninterrupted access between two work areas.

'Gravity Failsafe' drive system allows curtains to safely descend under gravity at controlled speeds - only in the event of total power failure.

ViiFire Serve Reveal

Manufactured to the same standards as the ViiFire Serve, but fitting neatly within the servery hatch reveal.

The ViiFire Floor - Arriving 2010

A Horizontal ViiFire Curtain manufactured to the same exacting specification as the other ViiFire product range. Designed to offer complete fire containment properties in applications such as stair wells, loft conversions or in Dormer type buildings and also to small atriums.

The ViiFire Floor is an Automatic Curtain/Barrier System consisting of a Fire Separating Element. It comprises of the same fire resistant fabric fixed and tensioned between rollers mounted at either end of the clear opening. The rollers are driven by a tubular motor. The rollers are mounted and enclosed in a steel housing and the leading edge of the curtain has a supporting bar spanning between the side channels that retain the curtain. It is activated from the fire detection system and horizontally closes the opening in the floor / ceiling.
